About the hall
A hundred years of neighbors getting together
The Commons was built by the neighborhood as a meeting hall in 1924. After it sat empty for a decade, a group of neighbors raised the money to restore it in 2019.
Today it's run by a small nonprofit and a big team of volunteers, and it's open to anyone with a good idea for bringing people together.
- Seats 220, or 350 standing
- Stage, sound system and piano
- Full kitchen for community dinners

From the neighborhood
Why people keep coming back
I moved here not knowing anyone. Swing night changed that in a month.
We held our wedding reception in the hall. It felt like the whole neighborhood was celebrating with us.
The Saturday market is how my small business got started.
